Dylan Douglas New Orleans Classic Rock, Folk Rock and Blues Music.
Dylan Douglas started playing guitar while in high school in North Mississippi playing Mostly Stones, Beatles and Dylan hits. He became a huge fan of Bob Dylan and wrote songs with the same poetic style.
While evacuated from New Orleans to Prarieville and after weeks of watching the coverage by CNN and other newscasts, he wrote “Katrina”. As fate would have it Dylan heard about a recording studio in the Prarieville, Louisiana area, Bluff Road Recording. The studio was owned and operated by Harold Cowart, a well known Louisiana musician who was the bassist on the John Fred and the Playboys mega hit “Judy in Disguise”. Later, Harold toured as the bassist with the Beegees.
The recording of “Katrina” in late 2005 sparked a friendship that would inspire Dylan to return To Bluff Road Studio in March 2006 to cut nine other tracks and produce the album “Louisiana Highway”.
While music is Dylan’s passion, he raised his family by selling cars. Dylan is well known in the south as the owner operator of “Deal’n Doug’s Autoplex”.
Married to Melanie Rose Stephens Turner for 37 years, they raised two daughters and are a close knit family.
Dylan’s in-home recording studio is a who’s who of autographed guitars and photos including:
